E-retailers close the door on customers

E-retailers are not spending enough on the right technologies to avoid downtime, Paul Di Leo, of application traffic management software Zeus, told delegates at the NetEvents conference in Geneva.

ZDNet reports on a panel discussion on download times during which Di Leo said, “retailers spend a fortune in the high-street store but when it comes to their e-site – consumers can’t get in. Companies should spend the same amount percentage wise on their site as they do in the high-street. There is no reason that a 404 site should exist anymore. It is about the importance of the website to the business.”
