Christmas 2005 Online Shopping Boom

Not surprisingly, online retail shopping over the Christmas period hit new heights, according to figures published by the Office for National Statistics. The festive period saw sales reach nearly 5 billion, almost 50% up from christmas 2004.
Whilst the High Street experienced mixed results for the period, there can be no doubt that online shopping is a large part of the retail landscape now, and is no longer to be ignored by retailers.
