Christmas sales set to soar
There should be no Christmas turkeys this year as the Internet retail group IMRG has predicted a record for online sales of some £3.5 billion in the run up to Christmas, a 40% increase on last year. Online shopping currently represents 6 per cent of the total retail market with the growth areas currently in the sales of food and drink, bulky electrical items and clothes.
